Design Considerations

Substrate
7 to 24 pt coated stock is recommended. 60 - 100 lb coated stocks can be used but some curling may be evident. Curling will be more evident when a lighter stocks are used. For any gluing requirements, testing is recommended first. For best results, coated stocks are recommended over uncoated stocks.

Special Features
Stocks of a finished size can be coated with a flush or border trim.

As alternatives, you may wish to consider 1 ½ Mil Heat Seal Mylar.

General Coating and Laminating Guidelines
Offset spray should be kept to a minimum. Low-wax, non-bleeding inks should be used. Metallic inks are not recommended. Sufficient time should be allowed for ink to dry before applying coating. Rhodamine red, reflex blue and purple should be avoided if possible. Your ink supplier can recommend inks, or call us for a complimentary test and recommendations. 3 Mil Heat Seal Mylar is recommended for coating on 2 sides only.
