 Mylar Heat Seal

Design Considerations

7 to 24 pt. coated stock is recommended. 40 – 100 lb. coated stocks can be used, but some curling may be evident. Curling will be more evident when lighter stocks are used. For any gluing requirements, testing is recommended first. For best results, coated stocks are recommended over uncoated stocks.

Special Features

Stocks of a finished size can be coated with a flush or border trim.

General Coating and Lamination Processes

Offset spray should be kept to a minimum. Low-wax, non-bleeding inks should be used. Metallic inks are not recommended. Sufficient time should be given for ink to dry before applying coating.

Rhodamine red, reflex blue and purple should be avoided if possible. Your ink supplier can recommend inks, or call us for a complementary test and recommendations.

Heat Seal Mylar is recommended for coating two sides only.
